CARRIAGE BOLT, also referred to as the Roofing Bolt is noticeably different from other bolt types. It has a distinct appearance; a shallow mushroom head and the shank cross-section of the bolt has a circular shape, and the segment under the head gets formed into a square-shaped section. This unique design equips the bolt with self-locking ability when it is inserted through a square-shaped hole in a metal piece/strap, or in a round-shaped hole in wood materials.
